Back to Obituaries Sign the Guestbook Worley, Kenneth L. Kenneth L. Worley, age 85, of Fortuna, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. He was born June 18, 1924, in Fortuna, Missouri, the son of the late George Milburn and Rhetta Corson Worley. On June 25, 1954, in Liberty, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Wilda R. Story, who preceded him in death on June 22, 1995. Kenneth was a decorated Marine Veteran of World War II of the Pacific Theater. He retired from U.A.W. Regional Director after 21 years. He was a member of the Glensted United Methodist Church. He was on the Board of Directors Delta Dental, Board of Directors National Council of Senior Citizens, and Board of Directors U.A.W. Retires. He is survived by one son, Michael R. Worley and wife Dawn of Livonia, Michigan; one grandchild, Janine Braun; two great-grandchildren, Steven Worley and Jacob Braun; one brother, Burl Worley and wife Cathy of Southern California; two sisters Rose Fowler of Atlanta, Georgia, Martha Pace of Fortuna, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Worley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 11, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Barry Fielder officiating. Interment will follow in the Glensted Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
